A Geophysicist and a Doctorate in Coal Bed Methane Modeling, Dr. Dasgupta is the founder of Navitas Solutions. Her interests include GIS, Petroleum Exploration and Academics and Research. Former Corporate Training Head of the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, she specializes in Technological Solutions-Petroleum Exploration, Well Logging, Coal Bed Methane and GIS (Geographical Information System).

She has done MSc.Tech (Applied Geophysics) and M.Tech (Mining Geophysics) from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and has completed her Ph.D from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies. She has 28+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.

During her decade long tenure with UPES, she worked as the Academic Head of the PTTEP Program. She also worked as Project Head for esteemed international clients Petrobangla and its companies, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD). It was a prestigious project funded by the ADB (Asian Development Bank).

 She has also contributed extensively in developing &delivering customized training programs for leading National Energy Companies and MNCs.
